Description
Brad Paisley and Seymour Duncan are both fans of the Fender Esquire, a one-pickup guitar whose 3-way switch only changes the sound of the bridge pickup. Brad wanted a neck pickup on his Esquire without changing its classic look. The Secret Agent is a neck single coil that mounts under the pickguard, hidden from sight.
Seymour gave it a medium-output ceramic bar magnet. Because it sits further from the strings with less magnetic pull, it has a full, warm, almost jazzy neck tone that pairs well with the bark of an Esquire bridge pickup. Brad calls it his favorite Tele neck pickup. It is hand built in the Seymour Duncan Custom Shop in Santa Barbara, California.
