Description
The Blackouts Modular Preamp takes the preamp from Seymour Duncan's active Blackouts pickups and builds it into a volume pot. Swap it in for your volume pot and any passive pickup with 4-conductor cable works as an active pickup, with the high output and low noise of Blackouts, while the guitar keeps the look of its passive pickups.
Pickup and battery leads connect without solder through the same bare-wire Lockdown stations used on the Seymour Duncan Liberator, so installation needs only a small screwdriver. This version uses a long-shaft pot to fit Les Pauls and other guitars with a thick top.
Features
- Blackouts balanced differential preamp with high output and low noise
- Replaces your existing volume pot
