Description
Seymour Duncan's Active Soapbar (ASB) pickups blend the punch and snap of an active pickup with the warmth of a vintage passive pickup. The response is natural and even across bass, mids and treble, with a slight musical coloring, and it suits fingerstyle and slap playing.
The onboard active preamp gives more volume and presence than a passive pickup, and the internal split-blade design keeps the string-to-string balance even. Phase I pickups are direct replacements for a traditional Bartolini P2. Many players add an STC-2 or STC-3 Tone Circuit for more EQ control. This is the 6-string neck and bridge set (ASB-6).
