Orders above $199 qualify for Free Standard Shipping.

Description
The Steve Bailey Jazz Bass System pairs a calibrated neck and bridge set of active J bass pickups, voiced for Steve Bailey's fretless playing, with a Seymour Duncan Tone Circuit preamp. It is built to cover everything from a blues trio to a jazz trio, in the studio and on stage.
The STC-3ASB 3-band Tone Circuit has bass, midrange and treble controls, a master volume, a blend control and a frequency contour switch that brings out fretless harmonics and boosts the mids. Pull up the volume knob to engage the contour, and preset its EQ with two trim pots on the circuit board. The system fits any JJ bass with room for 4 control knobs and a 9V battery in the control cavity.
Battery life is about 1,000 continuous hours per set, and two 9V batteries can be wired in series for more headroom.
