Description
The APB-2 Lightnin' Rods P-Bass is an active Precision Bass pickup voiced for vintage tone with a hotter output. It keeps the fat P-Bass sound and the warm, woody mids P-Bass players like, and adds the steady signal level of an active pickup.
The exposed pole piece look gives no hint of the preamp under the cover. A fully discrete, very quiet single-battery preamp gives low-impedance output with wide dynamic range, and its low-power circuit gives up to 2,000 hours of continuous battery life. It drops into basses with a Fender American Standard P-Bass size pickup slot.
