Description
The APB-1 Pro Active P-Bass is a modern active Precision Bass pickup. A low-impedance coil feeds a small preamp built into the pickup for a clean signal with wide headroom and dynamic range. It has a wide tonal range, a sharper attack and more punch, and avoids the brittle sound of some active pickups.
The design is based on Seymour Duncan's earlier Active EQ Switch pickups, with the most popular switch setting wired in. The gain is matched to passive pickup levels, which helps players who switch between active and passive basses on stage. It has a modern no-poles cover and suits both hard rock and fingerstyle players.
