Description
P-Rails is a full-size humbucker that splits to either a real P90 or a single-coil Rail pickup, so one pickup gives humbucker, P90 and Strat-style tones. With both coils on, the mismatched coils give a full, expansive humbucker sound. The P90 coil alone is fat, and two Rail coils used together sound like positions 2 and 4 on a Strat. It suits country, pop, surf, jazz, blues, classic rock and heavy rock.
This is the bridge model in Trembucker spacing. Its wider pole spacing lines up under the strings on guitars with a tremolo or a wide-spaced hardtail bridge, where the low E to high E distance over the bridge pickup is 2 inches or more, so it suits F-spaced bridges and trems. Use a 2-way switch (push-pull or mini toggle) for humbucker and P90 sounds, or a 3-way on-off-on switch to add the Rail coil. The switch is sold separately. This version is white.
