Description
On March 28, 1968, Jimi Hendrix asked a young Seymour Duncan to bring his guitar onstage at an Experience show at Xavier University in Cincinnati. That Strat carried pickups Seymour had wound by hand for Jimi. Each pickup in the Jimi Hendrix Signature Strat Set is custom wound for a rich, melodic tone.
The bridge pickup has an aggressive attack for Jimi's lead tone, and the neck and middle pickups sound thick and full for chords, bluesy melodies, double-stops and his chord/melody style. Each pickup has a reverse magnet stagger to capture a right-handed guitar flipped and restrung for a left-handed player. Like the 1968 originals, the middle pickup is standard wound with no reverse wind or reverse polarity.
