Description
The SSL-1 Vintage Staggered 7-String is a vintage-correct, true single-coil pickup for 7-string Strat-style guitars. Hand-ground Alnico 5 rod magnets and a moderate wind of heavy Formvar wire give a bright, punchy tone with vintage output. Compared with the APS-1 it has a more focused bell tone with a lighter bass response.
It suits country, pop, surf, rockabilly, blues, ska and classic rock, especially with clean and mildly overdriven amp settings. It works in the neck, middle or bridge position and has a removable black cover with the Seymour Duncan logo.
