Description
The Dave Mustaine LiveWire set is a pair of active humbuckers voiced with Dave Mustaine of Megadeth. Dave recorded for years with passive JB and Jazz humbuckers, and this set keeps the character of that JB and Jazz pairing while a custom tuned active preamp adds output, gain and touch sensitivity.
The JB-voiced bridge keeps its smooth upper-midrange crunch, and the Jazz-voiced neck keeps its warmth and clarity. It suits players who want to try active pickups without moving far from the passive sound they know. The covers carry Dave's embossed signature, and this set has the Gold Cover finish.
