Description
The alt.metal Blackouts are active humbuckers voiced for alternative metal, built for detailed, heavy riffs in lower tunings. They keep the crunch of the original Blackouts, tighten the low end and refine the top end so it cuts without harshness. They are quiet and clean, and they keep more of the guitar's own character than typical active pickups.
This set pairs the neck and bridge pickups. The bridge brings out the percussive attack of palm-muted notes, and the neck gives a clear clean tone that gains aggressive mids and sustain at higher gain. This version is the 7-string passive mount size.
