Description
The Slash 3.0 is the third Slash signature humbucker from Seymour Duncan, after the original Slash model and the hotter Slash 2.0. Slash asked for it when Guns N' Roses played the Back to the Beginning tribute to Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath, because his SG needed more output. Rough cast Alnico 5 magnets give it tighter lows, a quicker attack and more output, while it keeps the clarity of the earlier Slash models. Slash now uses the 3.0 live in other guitars that need extra output. It fits Les Paul and SG style guitars as well as superstrats.
This is the Slash 3.0 bridge pickup. It is uncovered, in the Reverse Zebra finish. Seymour Duncan recommends pairing it with the Slash 3.0 neck pickup, so the voicing matches and the two stay in phase. This version has short mounting legs, which fit a wider range of guitars and allow direct mounting, and 4-conductor cable for coil splitting, series/parallel wiring and phase switching.
