Description
The Slash 2.0 is a hotter version of Slash's APH-2 signature humbucker. After several world tours with Guns N' Roses and Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators, Slash wanted more output from his pickups on stage. He asked Seymour Duncan for the same tone and clarity as his APH-2s, only hotter. The hotter wind keeps the sound he knows and pushes his amps with a balance of volume, drive and compression. It suits players who like the original Slash pickups and want more output.
This is the Slash 2.0 neck pickup. It is uncovered, in the Reverse Zebra finish. Seymour Duncan recommends pairing it with the Slash 2.0 bridge pickup, so the voicing matches and the two stay in phase. This version has short mounting legs, which fit a wider range of guitars and allow direct mounting, and 4-conductor cable for coil splitting, series/parallel wiring and phase switching. Slash likes a coil split on the neck pickup, mostly in the studio and sometimes live.
