Description
The Slash Signature humbucker (APH-2) came out of Slash's Gibson Les Paul signature model. The Alnico II Pro pickups he had used for decades sounded different in the new guitars, so Seymour Duncan changed the magnet wire and winding spec to push a factory Les Paul toward the sustain, crunch and midrange of his original Derrig Les Paul copy from Appetite for Destruction. Slash's own guitars use the same pickups.
This APH-2s set pairs the neck and bridge models, both with zebra bobbins. This version has two modern options: short mounting legs, which fit a wider range of guitars and allow direct mounting, and 4-conductor cable for coil splitting, series/parallel wiring and phase switching.

- Alnico 2 bar magnet
- Magnet wire and winding spec voiced for Slash
- Nickel silver bottom plate
