Description
Pegasus is a moderate-output humbucker for progressive metal. It started as an extended-range pickup, and 6-string players asked for a version of their own. An Alnico 5 bar magnet and custom windings give a warm, balanced, lush tone with a strong midrange and a focused low end. The high resonant peak adds a sparkly top end that blooms on chords at high gain.
Because the output is moderate, it works as well for clean tones as for distorted ones. This is the bridge pickup in Trembucker spacing, for guitars with a tremolo or a wide-spaced hardtail bridge. This version is finished in matte black.
