Description
Mark Holcomb designed the Scarlet and Scourge pickups around his use of high-gain amp modeling with Periphery. He needed more clarity for complex chord voicings, coil splitting and drop tunings. The Scourge is the bridge pickup, and its Alnico 8 magnet gives the low end and focused midrange that anchor his modern sound.
This is the 6-string Scourge in Trembucker spacing. Trembucker spacing sets the pole pieces wider apart so they sit under the strings on guitars with a tremolo or a wide-spaced hardtail bridge, where the low E to high E distance over the bridge pickup is 2 inches or more. This version has a matte black cover.
