Description
The Duncan Custom is a medium-output humbucker with a small ceramic magnet and custom-wound coils. It has tight lows, an upper-midrange bump that adds character and crunch, and an airy high end that cuts through heavy distortion and also gives clear clean tones. It suits blues, rock and metal, and works well in warmer guitars with a strong midrange.
The TB-5 is the Trembucker version of the SH-5 Duncan Custom. Trembucker spacing sets the pole pieces wider apart so they sit under the strings on guitars with a tremolo or a wide-spaced hardtail bridge, where the low E to high E distance over the bridge pickup is 2 inches or more. It pairs well with the Jazz or '59 neck models. This version has a nickel cover.
