Description
The Green Magic set recreates the hollow blues rock tone of the late 60s. That sound came from a pickup with its magnet installed backwards. In the Green Magic set the neck pickup has the reversed magnet, so with both pickups on they run out of phase and give the clarity and expression of a single coil.
This is the Green Magic bridge pickup in Trembucker spacing. On its own it gives a warm, vintage-voiced bridge humbucker tone. The out-of-phase middle position comes from pairing it with the Green Magic neck pickup. Trembucker spacing sets the pole pieces wider apart so they sit under the strings on guitars with a tremolo or a wide-spaced hardtail bridge, where the low E to high E distance over the bridge pickup is 2 inches or more. This version has white bobbins.
