Description
The SH-6n Duncan Distortion neck humbucker is designed to pair with the Distortion bridge model. Seymour Duncan says it has the highest output of all its neck humbuckers. It is hot enough for smooth, fluid solo tones under gain and still gives bell-like clean tones.
It uses the same large ceramic bar magnet and hot coil windings as the bridge model, for tight lows and rich upper-midrange harmonics. This is the 8-string neck model in a passive-mount style with a black metal cover. It fits 8-string guitars with traditional passive pickup routs.
Features
- High-output neck humbucker voiced to match the Distortion bridge
- Passive-mount 8-string version for traditional pickup routs
- Large ceramic bar magnet with hot coil windings
- Tight lows and rich upper-midrange harmonics
- Nickel-silver bottom plate
- 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options
- Vacuum wax potted to stop feedback squeal
- Hand built in Santa Barbara, California
