Description
The Alex Skolnick Signature humbuckers were designed with Alex for his signature guitar. Alex came up in the late 1980s as the teenage guitar prodigy in the thrash band Testament, then crossed over into jazz with the Alex Skolnick Trio. The pickups began as a made-to-order Custom Shop set, voiced for his melodic lead lines and his palm-muted rhythm playing.
This set pairs the hot-wound bridge humbucker, voiced to push the midrange, with the lower-output, vintage-voiced neck humbucker. The neck pickup gives an articulate balance to the bold bridge pickup. This is the set in zebra.
