Description
The Antiquity Texas Hot pickups give a Stratocaster the warm, bell-like chime and sparkle of a vintage 1950s Strat. This is the Texas Hot Custom Bridge, wound hotter than the neck and middle for better balance across the guitar. The extra output adds midrange that helps the bridge cut through, and the aged Alnico 2 rod magnets pull less on the strings for more sustain.
Each pickup is hand built and scatter wound in the Seymour Duncan Custom Shop. The Alnico 2 rod poles are individually ground, calibrated and aged, and each pickup is lacquered and potted in lamp black paraffin wax like the originals, with cloth push-back lead wire. This one is the Retrospec'd version of the bridge pickup: the same Antiquity Texas Hot build with an unaged white cover for a new look.
