The BL8 is a half-cardioid boundary condenser microphone built around the same hand-crafted sE8 capsule used in sE's acclaimed small-diaphragm condenser line. Designed for kick drums, piano, speech, and room ambience, it reproduces low frequencies with accuracy that often eliminates the need for a separate outer kick drum mic. It is compatible with the Kelly SHU FLATZ Isolation System for in-drum mounting on tour.

Transformerless Class-A circuitry provides headroom without distortion, while switchable Classic and Modern voicings shape low-mids for live or studio kick drum tones. Integrated low-cut and pad switches keep high-SPL sources from overloading your preamp.
