Description
The Royer PS-101 is a metal pop screen for vocals and spoken word. Its louvered metal screen turns the burst of air from plosives downward while the sound passes straight through to the microphone, so it stops pops and leaves the sound itself alone. The screen is see-through, so the mic stays in clear view while you set up, and it mounts on a gooseneck.
Made by Stedman for Royer
Stedman Corporation manufactures the PS-101 for Royer Labs with its patented louvered metal screen. The angled louvers do the work, and Royer warns that look-alike copies without them act more like a cloth filter and let pops through. The metal lasts for years and cleans with soap and water.
