Description
The Royer FlexBar holds two microphones on a single stand and covers far more setups than a fixed stereo bar. Its two L-shaped arms move independently, so the same bar sets up a Blumlein, head-to-head or spaced pair, mics the top and bottom of a snare from one stand, or gives a singer-songwriter one mic for the voice and one for the guitar. It is made from aircraft-grade aluminum in a matte black finish that cuts glare from stage lights and on camera.
Repeatable Placement
Each arm is engraved with a centimeter scale measured from the center of the stand, so a setup that works can be written down and rebuilt exactly. Three clutch handles lock the angle of the bar on the stand and the position of each mic. Tighten them only enough to hold the mics, since overtightening wears the locking mechanism over time.
Built With Triad-Orbit
Royer designed the FlexBar together with Triad-Orbit, and it accepts Triad-Orbit accessories. For fine angle adjustments of the whole bar, Royer suggests adding a Triad-Orbit ball-swivel adapter between the FlexBar and the stand.
