Description
The Royer EXC50 is a 50 ft 5-conductor extension cable for the SF-12 and SF-24 stereo ribbon microphones. It is for runs longer than the cable set that comes with these mics, which has an 18 ft extension cable on the SF-12 and a 25 ft one on the SF-24.
Which Mics It Fits
The SF-12 and SF-24 share a 5-pin XLR pin-out: pin 1 ground, pins 2 and 3 for the upper ribbon, and pins 4 and 5 for the lower ribbon. The SF-24V tube ribbon uses a 7-pin connection and its own EXCV extension cables, so the EXC50 does not fit it. Royer advises SF-24 owners against extension cables of unknown wiring.
Features
- 50 ft extension cable for the Royer SF-12 and SF-24
- 5 conductors carry both ribbon channels
- Matches the SF-12 and SF-24 5-pin XLR pin-out
