TR-1000
Description
Carrying forward the legacy of the TR-808 and TR-909, the TR-1000 Rhythm Creator is Roland’s most powerful drum machine yet, purpose-built for today’s producers and performers. It fuses Roland's iconic analog TR sound with advanced digital instruments and sampling, delivering an all-in-one, hybrid platform for rhythm creation.
Its hands-on controls and streamlined interface encourage real-time manipulation — from subtle shifts to bold sonic transformations — supported by a sophisticated sequencer and deep sound design tools. Developed in close collaboration with a global community of electronic music artists, the TR-1000 balances an array of cutting-edge technology with performance-minded design to inspire new directions in rhythm.
Analog voices
TR-1000 Rhythm Creator is Roland’s first true analog drum machine in over 40 years. Featuring Roland-built TR-808 and TR-909 analog instruments with added enhancements like expanded pitch and decay ranges, tunability, and greater dynamic control.
Digital voices
Advanced digital sound engines with ACB (Analog Circuit Behavior) for high-detail virtual analog modeling, including 19 new circuit-bent 808 / 909 voices (8X / 9X in GEN menu), plus FM synthesis, VA waveforms, and PCM for deep sonic exploration and newfound digital textures.
Advanced sampling
Over 2500 built-in sounds, stereo sampling, and re-sampling to create custom-loops and one-shots in real time, plus flexible time-stretching and 16-slice editing per instrument. Internal sample memory is 64GB, with 46GB available for user samples.
Next-gen sequencer
Capture dynamic real-time performances with or without quantization, record knob movements, fine tune timing, and set cycle and probability conditions for dynamic, evolving sequences.
Performance effects
Fluidly alter multiple assigned parameters with the morph fader, snap between knob settings with Snapshot, and tap into Step Loop for syncopated fills.
Analog & digital effects
Shape tones with the new Roland-style analog State Variable Filter— inspired by classic OTA designs like the JUPITER-6—or add punch and color using dedicated analog Drive. Add digital favorites like Crusher, Filter+Drive, DJFX Looper, and Isolator, or bend space with Scatter, Flanger, and Phaser.
