Roland TR-1000 Rhythm Creator

The Roland TR-1000 Rhythm Creator is the first Roland drum machine with a true analog engine in over 40 years. It houses 16 faithfully recreated analog circuits from the TR-808 and TR-909 alongside ACB digital modeling, FM percussion, virtual analog synthesis, PCM sounds, and a full stereo sampler with 46 GB of user-accessible internal storage. A multi-layer step sequencer, analog effects path, Morph slider, and extensive I/O make it a comprehensive instrument for studio production and live performance.

Analog & Digital Sound Engines

The analog engine delivers authentic TR-808 and TR-909 circuits with expanded dynamic range and new parameters that go beyond what the originals offered. Complementing the analog voices are 75 ACB tones (including 21 "circuit-bent" 8X and 9X models that push familiar sounds into aggressive new territory), 7 FM percussion tones, 340 PCM tones, and 2,121 sample tones. The 64 GB internal memory ships with 2,000 curated samples and leaves 46 GB free for user content.

The built-in stereo sampler supports WAV, AIFF, MP3, FLAC, and M4A formats with up to 16 minutes per sample. It includes BPM-synced time-stretching, non-destructive slice editing, and resampling. The Morph slider crossfades between two per-track parameter snapshots for live sound transformation. An analog signal path with multimode filter and drive circuit processes sounds outside the digital domain.

The multi-layer sequencer provides four layer tracks (for stacked sounds per step), six single tracks, and one trigger track. Each pattern offers 16 steps, 8 variations, and 4 fill-in patterns with microtiming, motion recording, probability, and Song mode for arrangement.
