Description
The Roland RD-88EX is an 88-key stage piano that combines professional RD-series sound quality with a lightweight, portable chassis weighing just 13.5 kg (29 lbs 13 oz). Powered by ZEN-Core, SuperNATURAL Piano, and SuperNATURAL E.Piano engines, it delivers over 3,000 tones and 400 scenes through the PHA-4 Standard hammer-action keyboard with escapement and Ivory Feel.
Dual Sound Engines & Lightweight Design
The RD-88EX expands on the original RD-88 with an increased sound library (400 scenes vs. the original's more limited set) and the included SuperNATURAL Acoustic Piano 3 expansion. Eight assignable control knobs provide direct access to tone shaping, effects, and zone parameters during performance. Built-in stereo speakers (6W x 2 with tweeters) handle practice and small venue duties without external amplification. USB Audio/MIDI support enables simultaneous audio streaming and MIDI communication with your DAW, and Apple MainStage integration allows seamless control of virtual instruments. Onboard rhythm patterns provide accompaniment for practice and performance.
