Description
The Roland MC-101 is a battery-powered, four-track groovebox that packs the ZEN-Core Synthesis System, clip-based sequencing, and studio-grade effects into a pocketable format. It shares the same high-quality sound engine as the MC-707, delivering over 3,000 preset tones and 80 drum kits ready for electronic, dance, hip-hop, and pop production wherever inspiration strikes.
ZEN-Core Sound Engine
The MC-101 runs for hours on four AA batteries while delivering 128-voice polyphony from Roland's most advanced synth engine. Its ZEN-Core platform reproduces the character of legendary instruments like the TR-808, TR-909, JUNO-106, and SH-101, all tweakable and combinable into new sounds. Sixteen RGB velocity-sensitive pads give you direct access to clip launching, drum programming, and melodic input. Each of the four tracks supports independent multi-effects, EQ, chorus/delay, and reverb, while a master effects bus with compressor and EQ polishes your final mix. You can import custom WAV samples (up to 12 minutes mono), sync audio loops to tempo, and share clips with other MC-101, MC-707, and Verselab MV-1 users for remote collaboration. USB audio interface capabilities let you record all four parts to individual DAW tracks with a single cable.
