The Roland FANTOM-6EX is a 61-key flagship synthesizer workstation that represents the pinnacle of Roland's keyboard technology. Housing five advanced sound engines, a 7" color touchscreen, 11 preinstalled expansion titles, and over 7,000 sounds within a roadworthy metal chassis, the FANTOM-6EX delivers a complete creative ecosystem for professional sound design, sequencing, and performance.

Five Sound Engines & Expansions

FANTOM-6EX combines five sound engines in a single instrument. ZEN-Core handles PCM and virtual analog synthesis with up to 256-voice polyphony. Roland's ACB (Analog Circuit Behavior) technology provides component-level recreations of classic analog circuits. V-Piano delivers physically modeled grand piano sounds. SuperNATURAL produces realistic acoustic and electric instruments. And the VTW engine generates authentic tonewheel organ tones.

Eleven expansion titles come preinstalled: JUPITER-8, SH-101, and JX-3P ACB Expansions; n/zyme, JD-800, JUNO-106, JUPITER-8, JX-8P, and SH-101 Model Expansions; the German Concert V-Piano Expansion 01; and the SuperNATURAL Acoustic Piano 3 Expansion. The n/zyme engine is a wavetable synthesizer developed specifically for the FANTOM platform, combining wavetable oscillator layers, phase and shape modulation, resonant filters, and dual Step LFOs.

The 61-note semi-weighted keyboard with channel aftertouch provides fast, responsive playing for synth leads, pads, and organ parts. Multisampling supports up to 352 samples per tone. Two CV/Gate outputs allow integration with analog synthesizers and modular systems. A 6-in/32-out USB audio interface (24-bit/48 kHz) connects to your DAW, and the 16-track sequencer with TR-REC provides onboard composition tools.
