Description
The PreSonus TubePre V2 is a single-channel tube preamplifier combining an XMAX Class A solid-state input stage with a 12AX7 vacuum-tube output stage. A dual-servo gain stage (no capacitors) lets you boost the signal to high levels without significantly increasing noise. Discrete components and high-voltage operation deliver dynamic range and detail not found in other single-channel tube preamps in its class.
Signal Path
The XMAX Class A preamp feeds directly into the 12AX7 dual-servo vacuum tube output stage. Built tough enough for serious gigging, the TubePre V2 handles both guitars and microphones with a backlit VU meter and clip LED for visual monitoring.
