Description
The PreSonus SW5E is a rugged 5-port AVB network switch designed to connect digital audio devices over long distances using CAT5e or CAT6 Ethernet cable. Four ports provide Power over Ethernet (PoE) for compatible devices, delivering both network data and electrical power from a single cable. The AVB protocol provides a high-precision clock that significantly reduces harmonic distortion and phasing.
Network Layout
Four of the five ports provide PoE, with the fifth port designated for networking to additional switches to expand the system. The heavy-duty metal enclosure withstands the rigors of on-the-road wear and can be rack-mounted using an optional rack tray.
