Description
The PreSonus StudioLive AR8c is an 8-channel hybrid analog mixer and USB-C audio interface designed for podcasting, live streaming, and home recording. Its familiar analog mixer layout makes it simple to record from a single intuitive console, while the built-in 8x4 USB audio interface operates at up to 24-bit/96 kHz for high-definition recording.
Mixing
The StudioLive AR8c provides four balanced microphone inputs with XMAX mic preamps and two instrument/line inputs. A musical 3-band analog EQ is available on each channel, and a mic/line boost accommodates low-level broadcast microphones and consumer devices. The unique Super Channel handles four stereo sources at once including Bluetooth wireless, 1/8" stereo input, USB playback, and SD card playback.
Recording and Interface
The StudioLive AR8c audio interface operates at up to 96 kHz, recording each of the six inputs plus the main mix. Play back up to four streams for monitoring previously recorded tracks plus sound effects and loopback audio. A built-in 2x2 SD recorder captures the main mix to SD or SDHC cards up to 32 GB. The USB-C connection is compatible with nearly any computer.
Connectivity
Built-in Bluetooth connectivity allows wireless audio streaming from mobile devices. The analog mixer front-end makes connecting gear intuitive, and the compact form factor fits easily into any workspace.
