The Pioneer DJ DDJ-REV5 is a 2-channel, 4-deck battle-style DJ controller with 206mm (8.1") jog wheels, a metal MAGVEL FADER, and dedicated Stem separation controls. It ships with free licenses for both Serato DJ Pro and rekordbox, and introduces Auto BPM Transition and Piano Play mode for genre-crossing performances and melodic creativity.
Battle-Style Workflow
Horizontal tempo sliders sit at the top in classic battle-DJ position, with 8.1" jog wheels on either side featuring color-coded virtual-stylus displays showing playhead position. Jog Feel is adjustable from light to heavy. The metal MAGVEL FADER includes a Curve adjustment knob for subtle-to-sudden cuts plus a single-switch reversal for slip and transform tricks.
Stem Separation
Dedicated buttons on the controller split tracks into stems in real time: vocals, melody, bass, and drums in Serato DJ Pro, or vocals, drums, and instruments in rekordbox. Stems Mute/Solo creates mashups on the fly. Stems Separate isolates parts onto different decks for live remixes. Stems Level uses the EQ knobs to adjust volume per stem. Combine with Deck Move for multiple simultaneous mashups.
Auto BPM Transition & Piano Play
Auto BPM Transition gradually shifts the playing track's tempo to match the opposite deck over a selectable number of bars, with optional Stems, Auto Loop, and Key Lock applied during the transition. Piano Play mode maps the 16 performance pads as a piano keyboard (white keys on the bottom row, black keys on top) in three scales for melodic cue-point performances.
Deck Move & Dual Deck
Deck Move remaps which deck each side addresses, and Dual Deck mode controls both decks from one jog for a practical 4-deck workflow on a 2-channel chassis.
