This physical model of the C. Bechstein Digital Grand is based on the renowned C. Bechstein D 282 concert grand, captured at the acclaimed Teldex Recording Studio in Berlin. Authorized by Bechstein, the Pianoteq model faithfully reproduces the brilliant, powerful, and richly colored voice of the D 282, making it suitable for a wide range of music genres.
Claude Debussy famously said, "Piano music should only be written for the Bechstein." Legends such as Franz Liszt, Edvard Grieg, Alexander Scriabin, Maurice Ravel, and Béla Bartók composed on Bechstein pianos, while iconic recordings by The Beatles, Queen, Bob Dylan, and Elton John have also featured their distinctive sound.
With Pianoteq 9, the C. Bechstein Digital Grand benefits from the new audio engine, producing a richer, more evolving tone with enhanced stereo and spatial perception. The grand has been meticulously revoiced, providing an even more expressive and dynamic playing experience. Refreshed Binaural presets ensure an immersive headphones experience, while the new "Sombre" presets offer a silken, emotive tone perfect for cinematic or expressive performances.
