Description
The NUX Optima Air is a dual-footswitch acoustic guitar simulator and preamp for acoustic and electric guitar players. Its acoustic IRs are matched to guitar and pickup type, and you can capture your own acoustic guitar as a new IR profile.
The preamp, modeled on a Neve 1073 with NUX white-box modeling, has Gain, Bass, Middle and Treble controls, plus a one-knob reverb. A send/return loop adds pedals, the XLR DI goes straight to a mixer, and the headphone output and aux input are there for silent practice. Over USB it works as a recording interface and loads third-party IRs.
