Muse

The Moog Muse is an 8-voice bi-timbral analog polysynth built around 61 semi-weighted, aftertouch-sensitive keys. Dual VCOs, dual Moog transistor ladder filters, dual ADSR envelopes, a modulation oscillator, ring modulation, and Moog's stereo Diffusion Delay deliver a complete all-analog signal path; layer or split two patches in Multi mode, drive deep sequences and arpeggios from the onboard 64-step sequencer, and recall everything from the Programmer OLED browser.

Sound Engine

Each of Muse's eight voices runs through two analog VCOs offering triangle, sawtooth, and square waveforms with continuously variable waveshape, sync, and ring modulation. A dedicated modulation oscillator adds extra movement, and a Pitch LFO sits alongside the two main LFOs for further detune and vibrato options. Two transistor ladder filters, each with two slope options, plus two ADSR envelopes feed an analog VCA — the entire path stays in the analog domain.

Bi-Timbral & Voice Control

In Multi mode, the Muse becomes two integrated voice engines that can be layered into a single rich patch, split across the keybed into two zones, or addressed by separate MIDI channels for two-instrument duty. Voice Control selects poly, unison, or mono operation, and dedicated Chord and Glide controls keep complex performance moves one button away.

Sequencer, Arpeggiator & Diffusion Delay

Muse's sequencer captures patterns up to 64 steps with parameter recording — knob moves are stored alongside the notes — plus probabilistic functions and microscopic per-step editing. Sequences live independently of patches so you can swap patches under the same sequence on the fly. The built-in stereo Diffusion Delay brings 21st-century DSP polish to the otherwise all-analog Muse, with sync and feedback controls that sit at par with outboard dedicated processors.
