Description
The 1974X is a handwired reissue of the Marshall 1974, an 18W combo made from 1965 to 1968. Marshall introduced it as a practice amp, and it gives lead and crunch sounds at lower volumes than the big heads.
Like the original, it is hand soldered on an aluminium chassis and has a valve tremolo circuit. Two EL84 power valves, ECC83 preamp valves, an EZ81 valve rectifier and an aged Celestion G12M-20 Greenback speaker shape the sound. A footswitch comes in the box.
