Description
The Lee Oskar Melody Maker is a 10-hole diatonic harmonica made for playing single-note melodies. Three of its notes are changed from the Major Diatonic, so major scale melodies in 2nd position (cross harp) play without bending, and standards that are hard to play on a Major Diatonic come easily. The draw and blow reeds were changed together, so it still plays full chords.
Melody Maker harmonicas are labelled by their 2nd position key. This one is G. Play it in 2nd position for R&B, country, reggae, pop, jazz and Latin, or in 1st position (straight harp) for Irish and clave/Afro music.
