Description
The Korg Multi/Poly is a four-voice analog polyphonic synthesizer that draws inspiration from the bold design philosophy of Korg's 1980s instruments. Four independent analog VCOs, one per voice, each pass through their own analog filter, delivering the unmistakable warmth and character of a fully discrete analog signal path. A 37-key keyboard, arpeggiator, chord memory, and a powerful motion sequencer make the Multi/Poly as playable and creative as it is sonically rich.
Analog Voice Architecture
Each of the four voices has its own analog VCO with multiple waveforms and an analog filter with resonance, providing true per-voice filtering that gives chords and polyphonic passages a depth and dimension that shared-filter designs cannot match. The voices can be configured in polyphonic mode for chords, unison mode for massive stacked leads, or individual voice assignment for layered sequences.
Performance Tools
The arpeggiator offers multiple patterns with adjustable rate, gate, and octave range. Chord memory captures held chords and replays them from a single key, useful for complex voicings and pad stacks. The motion sequencer records knob movements and replays them as per-step automation, adding evolving textures and rhythmic modulation to your patches.
Connectivity
MIDI In and Out connections provide integration with external hardware and DAWs. USB allows direct computer connectivity. CV/Gate outputs enable control of modular synthesizers and vintage gear, bridging the Multi/Poly into a broader analog ecosystem.
