Description
The Korg KROSS 2 88-Key brings workstation-class production to a portable 88-key platform with NH (Natural Weighted Hammer) action keys for authentic piano performance. The EDS-i sound engine delivers over 1,075 programs with 120-voice polyphony. A 16-pad sampler, audio recorder, and 16-track MIDI sequencer provide complete music creation capability. At 12.3 kg (27.12 lbs), it remains remarkably portable for a full-size weighted keyboard workstation.
Sound Engine and Programs
The Enhanced Definition Synthesis-i (EDS-i) engine produces piano, electric piano, organ, strings, brass, synth, and drum sounds with up to 120-voice polyphony. Over 1,075 programs and combinations cover every genre from acoustic jazz to electronic dance music. Layer and split modes combine two programs across the keyboard. The Step Sequencer creates rhythmic patterns without external hardware.
Sampling and Recording
Sixteen velocity-sensitive pads trigger samples in one-shot, loop, or gate modes. Record audio directly from the inputs or resample internal sounds. The built-in audio recorder captures stereo WAV files. A 16-track MIDI sequencer stores songs with up to 210,000 notes. 134 effect types across five insert slots, two master effects, and a total effect shape the sound.
