Description
The Korg Kronos 3 73-Key is Korg's flagship music workstation with nine distinct sound engines, an 8-inch color SVGA TouchView display, KARMA interactive music technology, and a 120GB SSD with 3GB of PCM sample RAM. The 73-key version features an RH3 graded hammer action keyboard weighted for piano-centric performance while remaining lighter than the 88-key model. A vector joystick, ribbon controller, and comprehensive real-time controls provide deep performance expression.
Nine Sound Engines
SGX-2 Premium Piano reproduces concert grands at full depth with damper resonance and lid simulation. EP-1 MDS recreates classic electric pianos. HD-1 delivers orchestral, pad, guitar, bass, and drum sounds from 3GB of PCM RAM. AL-1 Analog Modeling produces virtual analog synthesis. CX-3 Tonewheel Organ simulates vintage organs with rotary speaker modeling. STR-1 uses physical modeling for plucked and bowed strings. MOD-7 VPM/FM delivers complex FM timbres. MS-20EX and PolysixEX recreate classic Korg analog synth character with modern polyphony.
Sequencer and Recording
A 16-track MIDI sequencer holds up to 400,000 MIDI events with complete editing capability. The 16-track Hard Disk Recorder captures uncompressed audio directly to the 120GB SSD. KARMA technology generates musical phrases, arpeggios, and drum patterns that respond dynamically to your playing. Smooth Sound Transitions allow seamless patch changes without cutting held notes or reverb tails.
