Description
The Korg KingKORG NEO is a 37-key virtual analog synthesizer powered by Korg's XMT (Crossover Modeling Technology) engine. With 24-voice polyphony, three oscillators per voice offering 138 oscillator types, and 18 filter types modeled after five classic synthesizers, the KingKORG NEO delivers a vast range of tones from lush pads to searing leads. A built-in 16-band vocoder with an included gooseneck microphone adds vocal processing to the package.
XMT Sound Engine
The Crossover Modeling Technology engine provides three oscillators per voice, each selectable from 138 oscillator types that cover analog waveforms, digital PCM, additive, and noise sources. 18 filter types are modeled after five iconic analog synthesizers, letting you dial in the exact filter character you need. Six virtual patch connections allow flexible modulation routing beyond the standard LFO and envelope assignments, opening up complex evolving textures and responsive performance patches.
Vocoder
A 16-band vocoder analyzes your voice through the included gooseneck microphone and imposes its spectral shape onto the synthesizer's output. Adjustable band levels, formant shift, and filter resonance let you fine-tune the vocoder response from robotic speech to smooth talk-box effects. The XLR microphone input accepts dynamic microphones as well.
Effects and Programs
Three simultaneous effects stages cover modulation, delay, and reverb. The PRE FX section handles compression, distortion, and EQ. The MOD FX section provides chorus, flanger, phaser, and tremolo. The REV/DELAY section offers multiple reverb and delay algorithms. 300 programs (200 factory, 100 user) provide a broad starting palette for live performance and studio work.
