Description
The Genelec S360A Rackmount is a 5U rack-mountable version of the S360A 2-way SAM active monitor, designed for broadcast vans, OB vehicles, and facilities with rack-based infrastructure. Delivering identical audio performance to the free-standing S360A — 250 mm bass driver, 25 mm tweeter, 350W of Class D amplification, 118 dB output, and bass extension to 36 Hz — the rackmount variant replaces the wood enclosure with a standard 5U chassis for secure installation in 19" equipment racks. SAM technology and GLM network connectivity enable precise room calibration and system-wide management.
Acoustic Design
- Large-format 2-way design: 250 mm (10") bass driver and 25 mm metal dome tweeter for extended bandwidth
- Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW): Optimizes directivity for consistent imaging across the listening area
- Reflex-ported enclosure: Tuned port extends bass response to 36 Hz (-6 dB) with clean output at high SPL
- Intelligent Signal Sensing (ISS): Auto-standby when no signal is detected
SAM (Smart Active Monitoring)
The S360A connects to Genelec's GLM calibration network via dual RJ45 ports. GLM software measures and corrects room response with up to 16 individual EQ filters, managing level, delay, and bass management across the entire monitoring system.
