Description
The Genelec 8320A is a compact Smart Active Monitor (SAM) featuring a 4" bass driver and 3/4" metal dome tweeter with built-in DSP for room acoustic calibration via Genelec's GLM software. As an entry point into SAM technology, the 8320A automatically compensates for detrimental room influences to deliver optimized monitoring accuracy from mono to immersive setups, adapting intelligently to any acoustic environment.
Smart Active Monitoring (SAM)
- GLM calibration: Connects to Genelec Loudspeaker Manager software via RJ45 network for automated room measurement and EQ compensation
- Room-adaptive DSP: Compensates for standing waves, boundary effects, and early reflections at the listening position
- System alignment: Provides level alignment (60 dB range) and delay alignment (up to 200 ms) for multi-speaker setups
- Scalable: Works in systems from mono to immersive multichannel configurations
