Description
The Genelec 7040A is a compact active subwoofer designed to extend the bass response of small Genelec monitoring systems. Featuring a 165 mm driver powered by 50W of Class D amplification, it reaches down to 30 Hz (-6 dB) with 100 dB of output — ideal for pairing with 8010A or 8020D monitors in space-constrained environments such as edit suites, podcast studios, and desktop setups where low-frequency accuracy is needed without bulk.
Bass Management
The 7040A includes a built-in bass management system with variable crossover and phase adjustment. Two XLR inputs and two filtered XLR outputs allow seamless integration with a stereo satellite pair, high-passing the satellites to maintain system headroom and coherence.
