Description

The Genelec 1238AC is a 3-way SAM center channel monitor designed for multichannel monitoring in film dubbing stages and post-production facilities. Featuring dual 250 mm bass drivers, a 125 mm midrange, and 25 mm tweeter with 950W of amplification, the 1238AC delivers 121 dB of output with extension to 30 Hz. Available in multiple orientation variants (VL, VR, HU, HD) for flexible installation above, below, or beside the screen.

Mounting Orientation

This unit ships with the DCW (Directivity Control Waveguide) factory pre-rotated for horizontal mounting with bass drivers positioned below the DCW installation. The 1238AC is designed for flush mounting in either vertical or horizontal configuration. The midrange and treble drivers are always aligned vertically with the tweeter on top for optimal stereo symmetry, regardless of enclosure orientation. Order the orientation matching your installation to avoid on-site DCW rotation.
