Description

The Genelec 1236A is a flagship 3-way SAM main monitor system featuring dual 458 mm bass drivers, dual 125 mm midrange drivers, and a compression-loaded tweeter powered by a remote RAM-XL amplifier delivering 3050W. Reaching 17.5 Hz (-6 dB) with 130 dB of output, the 1236A is designed for the world's largest dubbing stages, scoring rooms, and immersive audio facilities. SAM/GLM calibration ensures precise room correction at this monumental scale.

Mounting Orientation

This unit ships with the DCW (Directivity Control Waveguide) factory pre-rotated for horizontal mounting with bass drivers to the left of the DCW installation. The 1236A is designed for flush mounting in either vertical or horizontal configuration. The midrange and treble drivers are always aligned vertically with the tweeter on top for optimal stereo symmetry, regardless of enclosure orientation. Order the orientation matching your installation to avoid on-site DCW rotation.
