Description
The Furman IT-REF-15i is a reference-grade 15-amp balanced power conditioner from Furman's top-tier IT-Reference line, using a full isolation transformer to provide galvanic separation from the AC power grid and symmetrically balanced ±60V output. By eliminating the ground-referenced AC power that delivers common-mode noise into audio equipment, the IT-REF-15i achieves a level of AC line isolation that measurably and audibly lowers the noise floor of any connected system. For mastering studios, high-end recording facilities, and audiophile listening rooms, the IT-REF-15i represents the state of the art in AC power conditioning.
Balanced Isolation Transformer
- Galvanic isolation: Toroidal isolation transformer electrically disconnects connected equipment from the AC power grid, eliminating ground loops at the source.
- Symmetrically balanced output: ±60V symmetrical AC output provides common-mode noise rejection that reduces the noise floor by 10 dB or more compared to standard AC power.
- Ground loop elimination: Balanced topology removes the ground path through which most hum and interference travel in multi-component systems.
Protection & Filtering
- SMP+ (Series Multi-Stage Protection Plus): Advanced multi-stage surge protection rated for continuous professional use.
- Linear Filtering Technology (LiFT): Additional differential-mode noise rejection on top of the inherent common-mode rejection of the balanced topology.
