Description
The Fostex TH616 is a limited-quantity open-back headphone built for Fostex's 50th anniversary. Solid black walnut cups are machined with an open aperture pattern inspired by sunlight through trees, and each pair is assembled in Japan around a 50 mm BioDyna driver and 1 Tesla neodymium circuit.
Build
Aluminum mechanical parts keep weight down; a high-density resin baffle limits resonance. Detachable rhodium-plated 2-pin connectors accept the included HiFC cable or the optional ET-H3.0N7BL balanced cable.
