Description
The Focusrite RedNet MP8R is an 8-channel remote-controlled microphone preamplifier and A-D converter for Dante audio-over-IP networks. Built for live sound, broadcast, and recording environments where reliability is critical, it features dual power supplies and dual etherCON network ports with automatic failover in a rugged 1U rackmount chassis.
Preamp Control and Digital Splits
Each of the eight preamps provides 10dB to 65dB of gain in 1dB steps, with switchable input impedance (2.4k ohm or 10k ohm) for flexibility when running multiple preamps in parallel on the same microphone. All eight channels include a gain-compensated auxiliary output for digital splits, delivering a constant level regardless of preamp gain changes. Controls include per-channel phantom power, 20dB pad, high-pass filter, and polarity inversion, all accessible remotely via RedNet Control, Pro Tools, MIDI, or compatible Yamaha CL/QL series consoles.
